Presumably, like many of you folks here, my passion for Notre Dame football is a bit over the top by normal standards. (Screw the normal people anyway!)

I spend the whole week prior to a game studying info about our upcoming opponent, reading these boards and any other news I can scrounge up about our boys and getting that anticipation welling inside my (massive) gut... Now, it's the freakin' bye week.

Great.

What the hell am I supposed to do now? Pay attention at work? Get some long put-off chores done around the house? Pay attention to the wife?

I don't think so!

Anybody here know how one can induce a week-long coma? (Without alcohol being directly involved. Getting drunk just makes me want to kill things... Particularly anything of the gross red and yellow colors of the douchebags from Southern California.)

LOL

NDMontana recommended we occupy our minds with Zen.

Zenning of speak, what is the sound of one hand clapping?

I was with you right up until you took alcohol out of the equation. That is the stumper! For me, I have immersed myself back into hockey. Having a completely different sport to get myself in to is my distraction. Plus, my wife really likes hockey too, so it is a win-win. I will still get on here regularly because I too cannot bring myself to be productive at work.

I can't wait for these next two work weeks to go by. I am stoked for the Washington game and what may be the final nail in the coffin for Ty.

GO IRISH!!!

After seeing the way UW has been humiliated this year, this has to be a game we win by 3+ TD's. I don't care how fired up the Puppies will be to play us in a Saturday night tilt in Ty-ger's swan song. The next step for this team is to start dominating the teams on the soft underbelly of our schedule on the SCOREBOARD.

ND friend: Willingham might be saving his batteries for this one.

ND better be ready for hard shots. This will be my favorite battle of the year.

ND better smash. This is the scariest game. For me at least.

Put them away after the first 14:25 minutes. I will need the other 35 seconds to take a deep sigh of relief.

21-0 Irish at the end of the first quarter. Got a good feeling. If we can overcome the emotion of that first few minutes, we will be ok.
