Since I grew up in Orange County, I was a huge Rams fan growing up. When they moved away, that killed me! I tried to root from afar, but this was before the Sunday Ticket and the advances in the Internet and everything that made it easy to root for teams from afar, so I gave up. Haven't had a pro team since (of course, they won the Super Bowl right after they left...I rooted for that team when they were the friggin' laughingstock of the NFC!). On Sundays, I just focus on the teams I gamble on, but it's not the same as having a team to root for.
So now that I am in South Bend, I'm starting fresh with pro football, and I need a local team to root for. My mother-in-law is a huge Lions fan, the Bears are obviously the closest team, and then there's the Colts. I never was a fan of the Colts cause I liked the way the Patriots took care of business (always like Brady over Manning b/c of playoff gonads), so it's hard to root for them. But I love Andrew Luck, so I'm leaning towards making them my team. Have a month to decide.
I don't do facebook, but good luck to your Colts! If anyone could replace Manning, I think Luck is the guy. I'll probably be rooting for them...
