Jappy Oliver is already at work, he visited Derrell Hand today at his high school. Hand was very impressed. His visit is the Jan 14th.

Bernie Parmalee??? I usually don't even think twice about a TE coach...but that is too sweet! He will make a pro prospect out of fasano.

Bernie's been on the Dolphin's coaching staff 2 years now. He's a nice surprize, I never heard anyone mention his name to be on ND's staff..

Check out what Tom Lemming said

"One thing I can guarantee is that this recruiting class... will be better than what a lot of people, including myself, thought a couple weeks ago.

"Tradition, graduation rates, job-placement rates, exposure, and -- in a few months -- one of the greatest facilities in all of college football in the Guglielmino Athletics Center. I'll be shocked if Notre Dame doesn't finish in the top five in recruiting next year."

I'm getting very pumped up about ND football. Lemming used to bash Ty as a recruiter. He seems to love Weis.

The story by Lemming was on ESPN insider. He also has ND at 25th. He said he expects ND to have a top 20 class this year. If they do I think alot of people are going to be shocked. Good job by Charlie and the whole staff, a top 20 recruiting class on a year where we thought we'd be lucky 10 break the top 50. Good Job Guys!

Remember this is ND. If he pulls a top 20 class this year, the alumns and BOT will not accept anything but a top 5 next year ;)

Troy Brown - New England Patriots

Here's another great quote from Lemming.

"It is astounding to me that the Irish would ever be considered a sleeper in a top 10 recruiting poll, but that's exactly what they are at this moment. New coach Charlie Weis has hit the ground running, personally calling close to 200 prospects. The Irish are now in on several of the nation's top players and could wing up in the top 20 when it is all said and done."

Of course, both Belichick and Parcells were proactive in approaching ND on Weis' behalf too. Well, Parcells anyway. Weis couldn't have better letters of reference. Has anybody heard anything from Givens?
