Awesome! Very rare I run into a person that's been. When did you go? Have you been to any of the other Karisma properties?

I've been to 20+ all inclusives, and it was hands down the best in the under $1000 a night category. I had a swim out (my avatar)... changed ai last week after a week of the winter blues here in ATL LOL!

The owner was fantastic, and the staff was tops. The food far surpassed other inclusives in the same price range. Loved the massages over the water.

I stayed at a new Iberostar resort on the Rivera Maya with my ex-wife about a dozen years ago. It was brand new and we got a special that was a far better deal that we thought. I have never seen so much alcohol in my life! Consequently, I cannot remember the name. But the El Dorado seems familiar. We did a lot of traveling.

Funny story, my ex almost had a nervous breakdown when she saw the public restrooms at the "mall" at the Playa Del Carmen! I wasn't impressed with the slave labor at the Rivera Maya in general. I hope conditions have improved.

Shit. After checking weather I just realized July is in the rainy season for Costa Rica, Belize, DR and pretty much all of Central America and the Caribbean. Might need to rethink my destination. Anybody ever travel to any of those places in summer during the "green season" as they refer to it?
