I think Mark Ingram is now #1...or should be.

Tebow, McCoy, Clausen, and Suh (Nebraska's D anyway) failed to impress or lost today. I think its all Ingram barring Tebow or McCoy putting up crazy numbers the rest of the way. Clausen is the best passer in college football but 2 losses means no Heisman in my opinion.

Ingram should be the leader, but he won't be.

This year, the Heisman Trophy is going to become the Tim Tebow Career Achievement Award.

You are probably right, but how many losses did ND have when Tim Brown won the Heisman? I do not think there is a clear cut favorite at the present time.

In reality it should be Clausen and Ingram in a two man race but the perception of Clausen hurts him

If Jimmy completes that last pass, we wouldn't be having this conversation. That was his Heisman moment and it slipped away with Duval's cleat.

This just isn't Clausen's year.

Next year is Clausen's year.

With Tebow, McCoy, and Bradford gone, Clausen will be the poster boy for the Heisman, the player that receives the ridiculous hype.

I still think that Clausen is in the hunt, no doubt. How he responds to last week's loss, don't think for a second that that won't come into the voters minds when they tally things up at the end of the year - if JC, the natural and born leader of this team, picks us up, puts us on his shoulders, and carries us to 6 straight wins and a possible BCS birth, how could he NOT be in the final 2 or 3? Come on guys, have some faith!! Go Jimmy, we believe in you!

...and on Saturday he was terrific, coming down with a jump-ball touchdown catch in double coverage...

Not to take anything away from Tate, because that was one hell of a catch. But, what about the throw from Clausen? Great pitch and catch!!

That was an outstanding throw. Clausen had about a three foot window to fit the ball into...fifty-five yards downfield. Phenomenal throw. Aside from Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and possibly Drew Brees...not one NFL QB could make that throw, in my opinion.

I believe JC still has a chane to win the heisman. When Tebow won it Florida has two losses and wasn't that outstanding of a team. They didn't even make to a BCS bowl. They actually lost that bowl game to Michigan. So if they were willing to give away to anybody that year, why not give to some one who deserves it this year?

Clausen doesn't have nearly the hype that Tebow had that year. I'm not saying that Clausen doesn't deserve it, but hype does count.
