31. QB Brady Quinn, Notre Dame – Add one talented, young passer from South Bend to an offensive savant with four Super Bowl rings, and you’ve got the recipe for a surprisingly big year. His full impact probably won’t be felt until 2006, but Charlie Weis is going to help Quinn reach new heights before he’s done.

43. QB Brady Quinn, Notre Dame
Can new head coach Charlie Weis make Quinn the next Tom Brady? The receivers are there, the offense is in place, and Quinn will get the national spotlight each and every week.

Those big 'uns up front had better keep him healthy this year. The last thing they need is for BQ to take a beating.

If Quinn gets injured this year were screwed. I don't think we have a capable backup. Sharpley will probably beat out Wolke and Bragg, but Sharpley will have no experience.

Bragg should switch positions to wide receiver. Wolke looks like he could have of some potential, but he's extremely raw....

Demetrius Jones is really leaning towards Notre Dame. This comes as a shock to me since Frazer verballed last month. Jones could go to Illinois and start right away. He really likes Weis and Cutcliffe. But how could you not?

Weis is doing what he said he would do. He wants competition and depth at every position. If we land Jones, the starting QB spot would be wide open for '07 with Frazer and Jones in a battle for the top spot!

He is being up front and honest with these guys and their coaches, pulling no punches. He told everyone he is recruiting TWO quarterbacks for this class. Jones and Frazer are very high profile guys. To land them both would be a huge feather in the cap of this coaching staff.

If things continue on the way they are at this point, come February of 2006 all signs point to ND having the top rated class in America. The interest they are sparking from these top juniors is incredible.

Do u think that a player in the top 50 for heisman hopefuls really has a chance at actually winning the Heisman?? what about adrian peterson or reggie bush, or even chris leak.

I guess you're talking about Quinn, so I think you should look a little closer at the conversation we've been having. I don't think many of us think he really has a shot at the Heisman this year, but next year ('06) anything's possible. The Heisman is usually a 2-year award anyway. Often time a guy has to have one good year (a la Leinhart in '04) to get his name on the map so he can go into the season at least in the top 10 of heisman hopefuls, and then have another huge year to win it all. Quinn could do it, I think, if you give the remaining two years of eligibility to do it. It would be pretty difficult this year though, as I think most people know. I really have a hard time believing that award's going to anyone this year other than Lienart or Peterson.

Leak may find himself on the bench, if he doesn't pan out in that gimmick offense.

Bush or A.D. will be the guy.

A.D. will get the ball a ton without White around. A new QB will be groomed into things. Teams knew he was getting the ball and couldn't stop him last year. They'll know he's getting it this year and he'll still roll.

Bush is just nuts. But USC has so much talent, he could split the vote with Leinart or even Leinart AND Jarrett. A.D. won't have White to split the vote with.
