Time to get PUMPED up Boys and Girls ! The STREAK is over ! Get behind Charlie and be loud and Proud dammit !!!

I took a lot of shit on here, most of it well deserved, which is fine, when I spoke my mind and said I am a coach. I was asked about my experience so now I will share some. I have a former player in this game. The Hawaii kicker, Danny Kelly, was my kicker at Linfield HS in CA, I was his english teacher as well. He is a good kid with a strong leg. They have had some strange problems with XP over the years, but he does have a deep leg. I have rooted for UH since he got there as a freshman and kicked off to Reggie Bush in week one as a freshman. He has been the kicker every year. This is his last game.
The only other former player in D-I right now is WR Dane Sanzenbacher of the Buckeyes. I was his receiver coach in Ohio at Toledo Central Catholic his junior and senior years. ROOT for this kid against Texas. He is tough as nails, gets open, and pays the price for it week after week. He is their #2 receiver in receptions this year, and was on ESPN's big hit reels week after week for putting his body on the line routinely. He really wanted to go to ND and was on the Ted Ginn Sr. bus tour that bounced around the midwest. He was a late addition to that recruiting tour and made the most of it. He told he how bummed he was that Nd didn't give him the time of day, but was appreciative that Tressel picked him up. Texas/OSU is going to be a tough matchup, but root for #12.
kirk herbstreit saying hawaii is going to win b/c they simply have too many athletes on defense for us to be effective. i'm paraphrasing but it's sad when we have to hear that sht. pls give me a win tonight for my birthday the day after christmas!
Gotta take that for real then. 1) Herstreit knows his shit and 2) He's generally pretty fair to us - not an Irish hater.
The number 2 receiver for Ohio St. didn't even get a sniff from ND? Wow. I'm not blaming ND, it's just unreal how recruiting works. It's so damn unpredictable. 5 stars become nothing, and 2 stars and walk-ons become All-Americans. It happens. Just take a look at the colleges some Hall-of-Famers went to. Jerry Rice, Walter Payton, etc. Hell, Look at where Terrell (I love me some me) Owens went to.
I'll root for your wideout to do well. Sounds like a good kid. But I can't root for your kicker! Not tonight. If we win, and he has a good day, then that's OK. But I can't root for him to do well. ND needs this damn game too much. Peace...
woohoo, what a win. i'm so excited, i'm still in never-never land. a bowl game win!!!! something we haven't seen in a long time.
go irish!!!!
I have to leave at halftime to do to curch, at 10pm with my family, so my father and I are recording it. So we are going to try to stay away from people that know the score.
