I stopped reading here, the second paragraph, because this is a very simple fact for a journalist to check. A lot of research and effort clearly went into this article! No offense to the OP, unless he authored the article.

The link worked for me. I like Brian Kelly. I've seen him in town a few times, and he's very nice. Charlie Weiss and Bob Davie didn't have the time of day it seemed when I would see them, and Ty Willingham was nice, but Brian Kelly is very appreciative of the fans and he will have a conversation with you. I like that.

It also says he coached at Valley State University. Is there such a thing? He was head coach at GRAND Valley State.

Also notice the caption of the photo on page 2: "Brian Kelly during a home home against Pittsburgh" and you can clearly see a Boston College player in the background.
