That seriously means about 1 1/2 guys on the entire Texas or Pitt roster will graduate.

Hook 'em Burger-Flippers!

P.S. Florida almost cracked 70%. They are less ghetto than Miami and FSU.

I was a bit surprized to see Florida rank that high. Surprized to see Michigan so low (50 percent).

Ahhhhhh yes, the infamous Michigan Myth. Don't let their claim of "academic standards" fool you. That football program beats the basketball program by a length or so, but it's still a close race.

African American football players at Michigan have an alarmingly low graduation rate that is worse than the team as a whole. Somewhere in the 20% range I recall reading....and seeing on this site at one point. Somone mentioned it when that DB decommitted and went to UM. Harrison, right?

Aerosmith, was it you? I can't remember.

Michigan is one of those schools that has phenomenal academics, as long as they're not playing athletics too. In fact, their former basketball coach - i think his name was Freider (he's in Arizona now) - has spoken openly about the fact that the sports management program is virtually designed for scholarship athletes. It's virtually the equivalent of a degree in general studies, and the athletes that are pushed through that program are the ones that can't make the grade, and probably don't deserve to attend such a prestigious school. (Case in point - i have a cousin who has a degree from U-M - he was a full scholarship wrestler. Guess what his degree is in...)

That's one of the reasons that i have some much respect for schools like ND. They've continued to hold their athletes to a higher standard.
