Today my office had a random person walk in and hand our doctor an envelope. Inside were ten more envelopes, each with a $100 bill and a note that said, "If you need this money, please buy something for yourself. If not, please pass along to someone who may." He told our doc to hand out to ten people she felt may be in need of a little Christmas joy.

I LOVE stuff like this and thought this thread could be used to toss out ideas. Whether it's a good deed you've done yourself, paid forward, or witnessed, feel free to post it. I've randomly/anonymously paid for someone's coffee in line at Starbucks once. I guess I need to step up my game after today's encounter!

Was in drivethrough line at chipotle and someone paid 200$ of the next people's food. It was amazing. I in turn paid or my own meal and told the persons to continue the chain...(I just had enough for my own or would have been inspired to do the same)

A simple one you can do in your office is just tape a few dollar bills to the vending machine and ask people to pay it forward.

This is also a good way to see how nice people are in your office. If that dollar bill goes missing in the first 3 minutes with nothing left in return, you probably have people that steal lunches too.

My son was playing in front of Chik Fil A for tips yesterday trying to help raise money for new uniforms and someone in the drive through slipped them a $100.

Also heard on the radio that a Salvation Army bell ringer was counting their take and found a 1 oz gold Krugerrand wrapped in a $1 bill.
