The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Chris Frome is done for the season. Justin Brown and Ronald Talley will see time in his place.

This was my biggest fear heading into this season. This is not a deep football team, especially on the offensive and defensive lines.

McKnight is out, Frome is out and Rashon Powers Neal appears to be estranged from the team.

To achieve a 9-2 record, Notre Dame must stay healthy from here on out.

Sad to hear Frome is done for the year, the kid has played really hard every down this season and will be missed.

Ronald Talley looks like he'll be a good one, I don't think it will be a big drop off if any. The coaches like Justin Brown alot also..

It's a drop off in bodies on an already thin team.

this is my issue.

Over the summer, my biggest fear was depth. Now that McKnight and Frome are out, things could get interesting.

They're half way through the season. There are some guys on that team pretty banged up right now.

This 9-2, BCS talk is a bit premature for my taste. If a key player goes down, big trouble.

This is a very good point. On the positive side, though, these are positions where we at least had somebody to step in. That said, they are now stretched thin.

I shouldn't say this, as it could be a jinx, but at least the schedule eases up with the exception of Tennessee. I see a few games where they should be able to get some starters out before the end of the game and get some young guys on the field. The benefit of experience for the young guys is obvious, but another advantage is it should keep the starters fresh and cut down on chances of injury.
