I am from Louisiana and going to go to the air force game. Airfare and hotel is booked. I am getting tickets Friday probably from stub hub.I want.to make sure I get.the.tickets.I want to set 50 yard line so I can see everything what row would yal reccomend. I don't want to sit to low so I can't see or to high either. I know on stub hub there around 400 and up. Also besides taking tour and so forth what would yal recommends I visit or do while I am there. I will be there around 12 in evening Friday and leaving Sunday morning at 11. I love notre dame with a Passion. I hate lsu and went to games in my notre dame hat.and jersey and lsu fans can.be.a lil rowdy. Also how is tailgaiting at notre dame. I would like a small ice chest with.some beers so I will have to go to store for that. Thanks for any advice and help.maybe il.bring some mardi grad beads and bring new Orleans to south bend.

Make sure you check out the players walking to the stadium (check out the other thread for directions). Light a candle at the grotto. Also, ninety minutes before kickoff, the band presents a concert, followed by the traditional march from the Main Building to Notre Dame Stadium. Leading the march is the Irish Guard accompanied by cheerleaders, the leprechaun and thousands of loyal fans. You can't beat gameday at ND, I've been to a ton of football games around the country and in my opinion nothing compares.

Yes I seen how the players are taking a different route this year to stadium. I plan on doing those things plus try out a.restaurant or two. I'm going to get tickets at 50 yard line. What's a good row to sit on. I want to see all of stadium.thanks all.

Try to get seats that are between 20-30 rows up from the 50 yard line. Youe will get a good view from there. They will be expensive though

Yes I seen around 500 dollars a piece for ticket. Thanks I will book it soon. Is there places that sell beers at tailgaiting or should I get a small ice chest and put beers in it.

if you are getting to campus by midnight, i would recommend you go see the drumline. Starts at midnight near the main building. It is guar-un-teed to get you fired up for saturday. then grab a quarterdog at lafortune on your way out.

The outlet store is closed during the season.
JCPenny has a decent selection of ND stuff at better prices than the bookstore.

You definately have to check out the midnight drumline at the golden dome. It is simply amazing. Your best bet for beer is either a bar or just carry a little cooler with you. I would probably carry a cooler because it would be cheaper.

Oh how I envy you my friend-you will be moved. Take pictures and tell us how you react when they come out of the tunnel. You are in for a treat and dont be like many of us on our first time that reacted like we were in church-yell as loud as you can and help 'em win this first game. See if you can get close to watching the players enter the stadium before the game and soak up the band-I am in envy-go for it.

I believe you can get beer on gameday in the Irish Green section on campus. There is also the Morris Inn on campus that has a bar inside and a tent with a full bar behind the hotel. If you are getting there on Friday, take the stadium tour in the early afternoon and then check out the pep rally on Friday nite. Its hokey, but you have to have the experience one time while you are there. Have fun and GO IRISH!!!!
