I know most people have tried to be POSITIVE but Dammit It is time for a CHANGE ! Not just Charlie the entire staff needs to go ! We can not sit back and watch this Program go to CRAP if you have forgotten we are NOTRE DAME . We have tried to believe in Charlie,TY and BOOB but it is time to bring someone who has a KILLER instinct and will not let this continue. Rodney Dangerfield needs to go dammit !!!

i couldn't agree more with you wabash. one of those field goals and we would have that game. if floyd doesn't let that ball bounce off his back we win that game. water off a ducks back boys. we would be in such a bad position if we turn around and fire coach weis, we will be bad for another 2 to 5 years.

Notre Dame played a good football game, nine times out of ten we win this game, it's just things didn't go the way we wanted. Happens all the time. I love it when we loose a game and all the YAHOOS come out of the wood work yelling fire CW! Here's an idea get a clue! CW didn't loose the game, the players executed poorly. They had a bad game and still almost won. This program isn't going to turn around over night and changing coaches every other year or promoting coacing instability really does wonders for your recruiting.......so stop the fire CW whining and be a supportive FAN!

Hey everybody, I think USC should fire Pete Carroll because he lost to Washington this year... a game he should of won, and Staford last year or the year before... another game he should have won. Florida should fire Urban Meyer because he has never had an undefeated team. Bad games happen, shit happens, we live. The team can have a bad game, but when a coach has lost to navy 2 of 3, lost to Syracuse, never beaten USC, never beaten a team that finished ranked in the country, continues to make dumb statements in the media, forgets how to call a red zone offense, and then says that he will not change the way he prepares for a game. I don't see a reason to keep him. Charlie is not the answer. I can understand that you don't want to get rid of him. But do you honestly think that this program is moving in the right direction?

Fair enough, you are satisfied with the coach and I am not. I have been an ND fan for a very long time and have dealt with both the good and the bad. We will always be an average team with Charlie Weis as our coach. If you are satisfied with that, bravo. Where is this team going to be without Jimmy Clausen next year, he is the reason that we have won the close games all year.

And it only took him 5 years to beat BC, win a HOME game vs. MSU and beat Washington in OT. With all the wonderful recruiting he's done in the same 5 years. Le's re-up the remaining 5+ years on this contract for another 10.

You forgot the fact he only lost to USC by 7 points this year.

If the program wants to continue in mediocrity and allow the fanbase to continue defending mediocrity with excuses then we should keep Charlie around for another 5 years to see if he can finally catch fire in a bottle and lead us to a BCS Bowl Game and win.

the boys almost pulled it out and came up short. granted they were out coached in certain aspects of the game, but still...this team week in and week out shows me the heart that they have. cw's got these playing better each season. i say we keep 'em on and let the magic happen. it will...

So your blaming the players for being undisciplined? Doesn't the discipline of the team start off with the Head Coach?

The mistakes doesn't matter, we've lived on the edge the entire season and could easily be 2-7 right now with Corwin Brown finishing out the remainder of the season if things didn't fall on our side. Is it that every team we've played this season has come to play hard, or have we not come to play hard until we're staring defeat in the face?

Whether you like it or not its the HC's job to coach the guys up for the game, mistakes are going to happen during the game, but they will be minor if we made these mistakes while in a comfortable position, which outside of 2, has been the case this season.
