Griffen talks about the Irish

Early into the recruiting process for the 2007 class, Notre Dame had tabbed Everson Griffen of Agua Fria high school (Avondale, Ariz.) as one of their top prospects. Scout.com’s No.1 defensive end prospect has interest in the Irish, but Notre Dame will need to make a decision soon if they are going to have a chance to land the talented lineman.

an article on scouts talks about griffen and ND, can anyone summerize what was said. IMO ND has a lot of catchup work to do on griffen.

I read an article back in January or February that mentioned his mother loving Notre Dame. I think that we may be in better standing with this kid than we think. Hopefully he's a Mama's boy!

yeah i remember some article where he was talking about how much he liked ND and that he watched their games.

In the most recent one, he says he's waiting for an offer and wondering why he hasn't gotten one yet. He is at the point where if he doesn't get one soon, he's just going to move on and start looking closer at other schools.

He sounds interested. Still think Arizona State will be a tough lean to beat.

I think Griffin hasn't recieved that offer because the staff is pretty confident with Martin and Wilson.

This article suggests that if ND offers - they would be on the short list. IMO - any difference maker on the defensive end is a very good thing.
