I was thumbing thru the ESPN draft guide at a bookstore & read a suprising opinion by Todd McShay. It had Mel Kiper's 1st round mock draft & then McShay added any changes that he disagreed with. He didn't make many, but did believe that Cleveland would be nuts not to take Brady Quinn over Adrian Peterson (Kiper's pick).
He noted that Charlie Frye is hardly a proven commodity w/ a horrible W/L record in games that he started & that Quinn being an Ohioan makes the pick even more attractive. His comments suprised me in that I got the impression he was always criticizing Quinn &, like most ESPN talking heads, railing away at how overrated he is. Of course, this mag (w/ QUinn on the cover, no less) may have been out for sometime & Mcshay could've reversed course, but I thought it was worth passing along.
