ND Coach David Cutcliffe now pushing after ATH Earl Bennett. He's 6'0" and runs a 4.41 40. He is very interested and will be making an official visit next week with his dad.

He is being recruited at ND to be a wide receiver or corner. He had 2800 all-purpose yards last year (600 receiving) and 28 TDs. He played against top notch competition in high school.

He is looking at ND, Kentucky, Southern Miss, and Vanderbilt. He seems to really like Cutcliffe.

Maybe. But I've kind of grown fond of McCarthy and Moriarty after all the talk about them...

yeah we need to not complain about who there not offering, Weis and staff know what there doing. Guys are coming out of nowhere, I think this staff is talking to alot of guys.

Man this guy could be our answer at adding some depth at corner.

Yeah they seem like good guys, but if the coaching staff feels this bennett kid is better they need to offer him instead. McCarthy may get an offer becuse I really doubt Nelson will stay Irish.

wow check out his stats from his junior year. 2003

Rushing 829yards 4.5 yards per carry 12 TD

Receiving 45rec 729 yards 6 TD

Defense 45 tackles 4 INT

Earl Bennett, in an interview yesterday, said that he's still committed to Kentucky, but his recruitment is still open and he still plans on taking his scheduled visits to Southern Miss (This weekend) and Notre Dame (Next weekend). He is open to all three schools and will make his final decision right before signing day.

ND verse Kentucky, I like ND's chances here.

Kentucky coaches are guaranteeing him early playing time.

Hope we get him, he's an absolute stud athlete. Played WR, Corner, RB, and safety in high school, and he played them all very well.

There is just something about this kid I really like. I really believe he could be a big time player even though is lightly regarded now. Has size and really good speed. On top of everything just look at his numbers. Very impressive to say the least. I have to think our chances are pretty solid going up against UK

This is a great steal for us, I see big things from this kid. Hopefully the staff has a few more tricks up their sleeve for Cushing, Roche, and the WR from Texas.

What is the kid's name from Texas that went to the prep school this year? I have heard he is tall and speedy. Any thoughts? Rip Rap do you know something we dont?

Nope. Nelson committed to Florida and Cushing said he'll choose between USC (yup), Miami, BC, and Florida. So Roche is the only one left.

Who currently has an offer and is still considering ND: Wilson, Worthington, Bennett, Jackson, Roche, and Williams.

the Texas kid I'm reffering to isnt Nelson. I thought there was a new kid on the board that had origionally committed to Texas, went to a prep school out East and is now opening up recruiting again.

Yeah, there are several other names, many of which we through out there for consideration, but the above six are the only ones that currently have standing offers to my knowledge.

What do you think our odds are for both Wilson and Worthington? 50/50 and 20/80. Getting either of these two would be absolutely huge IMO. Perhaps McCarthy will help out with Wilson?

Worthingto isn't coming in my opinion. I think Florida will make a huge push for him. Wilson, will be 50/50. Considering Notre Dame was out of it not to long ago that is a great sign.

Worthington's mother wants him to go to ND, and Worthington himself acknowledged that. Never underestimate the power of mom.

Bennett would be a nice sign this year. Remember they didn't offer McCarthy until last week.
