We weren't in the running for this big OT, but it looks like he has changed his mind. Reports had him picking between LSU, Wisconsin, and BC. But now Rivals.com has it neck and neck between ND and BC.

Yeah Weis offered him. Ty never offered him. Turkovich says he and his whole family are big ND fans.

So Duncan, Turkovich AND DJ Hord all on the 7th? This is a big weekend for the Irish and coincidentally is when the Patriots have a bye week.

By the weekend the whole staff will be in place too. So these kids will get to meet the whole crew.

that is a quote i took from a radio broadcast when the irish played navy in the early 50's. hopefully with a new leader like weis, the players will conjur up some of that "fighting" spirit they use to have.

Turkovich, and Duncan should be locks. Hord would be a great get. Nelson's not a lock to stay, Urban is going after him hard, Nelson is visiting Florida I think next weekend.

Last I heard, we still had a realistic shot at both Eubanks and Roche, as well as Turkovich and Duncan on the o-line. Eubanks' parents wanted him to visit ND, despite his committment to Iowa. Roche spoke favorably of Weis and both Turkovich and Duncan give all appearances of wanting to play for ND.

Eubanks and Roache would be wonderful additions as well. Eubanks is highly touted and Roche's stock just keeps on rising.

If Paul Duncan hits it off with Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis and offensive line coach John Latina this weekend, expect the offensive tackle from Dallas, Ga., to leave South Bend following his official visit as a member of the next Irish recruiting class. Duncan could be Notre Dame's first verbal commitment on the offensive line, where the Irish are in need of long-term help at tackle.

Michael Turkovich will embark on his last official visit the first weekend in January when he visits South Bend. He is expected to make his decision after his Notre Dame visit this weekend.

This is a big weekend for us. We need to land both these tackles.

lol i wont - just cant wait on the news - this will be the first time in years that i am looking forward to Monday Morning (maybe the first time ever?)

yeah I'm pretty excited to see the outcome. Eubanks would be a monster steal if we could get him. ND was his favorite before the TY firing, his parents seem to be pushing him to ND.

I hand a hunch we would. Let's see if it is official tomorrow.

Duncan has been leaning toward ND all year, and Turkovich and Hord have both spoken favorably of ND. I know Sharpley has kept in touch with Hord too, and I think Sharpley is a real asset. If everybody else remains a solid commit, this will be a tremendous show of force for the final weeks of the recruiting stretch.

Frankly, in the end we should land about 90% of the guys that came this weekend.

I wasnt sure by the way u wrote about Sharpley - do u know he is already commited to ND

Yes. The point is that Sharpley is also making phonecalls in addition to the staff. I have no idea of knowing, but I think he may have kept Grimes on board and also may have won over Hord.

I think it is fairly standard for qb's to help a little with recruiting. They are, after all, the team leaders.
