Yep. Regardless of how the calls are going, you can't give them reason to penalize you.

I'm starting to notice (as someone else noted) that we just tackle or take the ball carrier down. We don't seem to HIT and punish the ball carrier. I assume that's not being in the right position?

Oh, I spoke to soon. That;s what we need to do. Of course, he might have caught the ball.

Wow!! Sullivan has a "mental block" with snapping the shotgun. So an important third down formation is taken off the table because a fifth-year senior can't execute a standard snap? Every position needs to be open this spring and let's find out who wants to play football.

If Sullivan was really committed to the team. he would practice the shotgun a hundred times every day AFTER normal practice is over. The progress of this team will be determined by how much work the players put in AFTER regular practice. JC and the receivers should be working routes every day beyond the 20 hours of practice a week. Commitment is a key problem with this year's team.
