So when I get ragged on for being a Notre Dame fan, and I preach about how Notre Dame has the greatest history of all college football programs bar none. I am told that the past is the past and that don't count for today.

But people can bring up the Davie, Willingham, Weis era and say how Notre Dame isn't worthy of any praise, when those three are no longer apart of the Notre Dame family, and that too is the past. Which in their mind the past shouldn't matter.

So at what point can the past remain the past and the present and future be the topic of judgement? I don't claim to be an expert analysis of sports, but I have watched alot of football and in particular, alot of Notre Dame football.

Their is not alot of comparison from the 2009 team and the 2010 team besides the fact that they have alot of the same players. The attitude, determination, and presence is what gives me hope for the future.

Notre Dame is in a league of it's own, in the sense that it has achieved things that no other school has. So when it comes to expectations, of course Notre Dame has the highest from it's fans.
In the last 20 years, 15 different schools have won a National Championship, I know all fans want it, but it really isn't going to be that common anymore because the playing field is being leveled every year.

So all I say is give it time, things will turn around, Brian Kelly has a winning record for a reason. Who cares where he came from, everyone comes from the bottom up. I have faith and Go Irish.
