Do you guys feel that Charlie Weis owes the fans and alumn an explanation as to the future direction of the program and maybe some more comments on the 5th year guys and Darius Walker? I realize he really doesnt owe us anything but its been over a week since the bowl and since his post game presser has been MIA. I think he should address the rumors of Minter and staff and future direction of the program asap before things get out of hand on the rumor mill. I understand that he might not care about the headlines but people what to know whats going on and they want to know now. Hopefully he has something to say soon. Do you think Minter had anything to do with lack of defensive commits? Do you think his replacing could get some commits to change their minds?

Saw this on Rivals message board, wanted to get other people's opinions. Personally, I don't think Weis us anything, and I think he is holding off on the announcement until he has the entire staff decided.

CW can give an update on the state of the program when he feels like it. I rather him spend his time finding coaches and recruits than correct internet rumors.

Weis will announce things when he needs to...fighting the rumor mill is USELESS. His own words will be used against him.

In business when you are working a deal you give no info before the deal closes. No comment.

He owes us nothing until all is completed.

As far as I'm concerned, CW can wait 'til the Blue-And-Gold Game if he really wants to. It's his team, and his decision when to release info.

That said, the selfish side of me wants him to send me an e-mail in the next 10 minutes with all the dirt so I can share it here and earn the cheers and adulation of my fellow IEers. Oh, and a walk-on spot on the team. And a pony. Ain't gonna happen though. ;)

Well I'd prefer a midget (er, little person) in cowboy garb on a midget pony (er, little pony.)

But actually as long as I don't have a wooden hand I'm "Happy."

Was Marv Albert involved also along with a transvestite that fits the description of Lawrence Taylor in a wig?

Simple answer would be NO. But he needs to take this talent and do something with it in the next couple years or he will owe us.

Coach Weis owes us as fans nothing, just as we owe him nothing but may choose to give. He owes his employers whatever was agreed upon as part of his contract and he owes the student-athletes his best coaching so as to put them in a position to be successful and not fail. Beyond that he owes no one anything as a coach. Owe is a very strong word.

By far the best answer given and the best thought out answer to a pretty asinine question. Chuck's first obligation is to Our Lady's University, who's pledged millions of dollars for his direction of our football team and it's student-athletes. That's about where the whole "owes" things comes to a screeching halt. If anyone as a supposed fan feels that they are owed anything in this situation, they don't understand a damn thing about this team or The University of Notre Dame du lac as a whole.

Reps to you Bayernarsch...Well done
