The game has changed. You can either change with it, or find yourself left behind and frustrated. As previously mentioned, a change in expectations does not mean that you have accepted mediocrity.

Like I said, they dont talk about "the game has changed" at USC, Florida, Texas, Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma etc etc etc.

These are traditional powers that have had ups and downs but not 15 year downs.

The excuses are pathetic. Thats fine, I realize were in a lethargic society where its just easier to blame crap rather than face the truth. I'll chalk all this bullshit up to that.

Ask Weis or the players what the expectations are at ND, you wont get the "times have changed" bullshit from them and I take comfort in that at least.

first off, chalk it up to whatever you want, but why don't you get it? the schools you have mentioned can recruit where ever/whom ever they want. nd has strict recruiting guidelines that i completely respect and quite frankly understand why based on the schools principles and history.

weis has somewhat gotten past that, but still has to struggle with it. what's pathetic is your failure to understand the realm in which he has to deal with and that not all schools follow the standards of notre dame.
