I mean you take the tone you do and challenge peoples core beliefs. And you do not even know the people. For crying out loud, if my best friend came to me and told me my beliefs were wrong, even with the best of intentions, he better be prepared to have a long talk AND LISTEN SOME and be caring. If he came to me and affirmed my beliefs but took the tone you take, he may cause me to rethink my beliefs.

You put the two together and you don't know someone and it is just hard to believe you are trying to "educate."

The original poster was proud of the marines for acting bravely in the face of danger and you immediately turn it into this rant. It is just hard to take you seriously when you do things like that.

See i dont care about religous thinking because it is false and detrimental. It does no good to think that way and it serves no true purpose. So i dismiss it.

You gave them some credit.. good work. Now again read some of the first posts as well as the title of the thread and maybe, just maybe, you will realize you were out of line in hijacking it.

That may be true in your mind and heart, but to come to a Notre Dame site and say that, is to say you don't care about many of the the people on this site. Further, to hijack a thread started to give an example of the strength and bravery of a marine is to say you don't care about the Marines or the person who started the thread.

And then to try and state your "purpose" as one of education, it just doesn't jive. Most of us here just don't believe that is your purpose.

So the reason you post is to NOT get responses? I'm confused because with some of the misinformation that you post, I think it would be wrong to not respond and try to add some truth.
