* Jimmy Clausen will play this weekend, and should be good to go the entire game.

* Same for Armando Allen.

* Weis was very happy with the special teams, except for the punt team. Said the blame is not all on Maust. But change was needed.

Sounds great, I would love for this week to be a quality win that hopefully doesn't come down to the wire. If it does....hey a win is a win! Go Irish!

Another update:

* In talking about commits and taking other OV's, he said the communication between the staff and the recruits has been very good from ND's side. His exact quote:

"What they say to you and what they say to me might not be the same thing."

Do you think he's talking about Chris Martin by any chance?

Update:

* Some writer asked Weis this gem!!!:

"Can you assess Tyrone Willingham as a recruiter?"

I love it!!! It was a Seattle writer calling in the question. Weis just rolled his eyes and said he would never say anything bad about another coach.

Priceless question...

Another update:

* Weis talked about the possibility of JC turning pro after the year. He said that if Jimmy were to continue playing at a high level and moved himself into a high spot in the draft, then Jimmy would have to seriously consider it. He'd love to have him for the next year and a half, but if Jimmy's doing so well that he might be a top pick, then he'd advice him to seriously consider it. That also means the team would probably also be doing really well, which is a bonus.

Now, think about the stark contrast in the Poodle begging Mark Sanchez to stay and telling the world he wasn't ready at the kid's press conference, and CW's stance with Jimmy. Sanchez is tearing it up in the pros, but he wasn't ready????????????? Hmmmmmm. Lots of class there Poodle...

This Friday I'm probably going to watch Spencer Boyd play. Hopefully I can get some good footage of the game. If so I'll be sure to post it asap.

Willingham did bring in some pretty good players. Quinn, Samardzija, Stovall, McKnight, Laws, Abiamiri, Carlson, Fasano were all Willingham recruits. The problem was he provided no depth whatsoever, and lacked in key areas.
