National signing day is on wednesday, feb 4th this year, and it cant come soon enough. 23 days away. we have recently had one decommitt in pollard, but are in the hunt for several others, even though most at this point seem like a longshot.
Manti Teo- OLB everybody knows the guy, announcing on NSD, we are in his top five, though many sites think it is a BYU USC race for this guy, we will have to wait and see. If we dont sign him, it wont be for a lack of effort on charlies part.
Jelani Jenkins- again, a very highly touted OLB set to make his decision known on NSD, ND in the top 5, only two officials set so far being Penn st and Flordia, but he has said he wants to take all five. young kid with some crazy upside.
Tyler Gaffney- RB/FB from Cali, we are in his final three, but it looks like he is more likely to stay in Cali with either SC or Stanford.
Byron Moore- S-committed to USC, but i guess he is Shaq EVans best friend and recently heard scout has him visiting us on 1-30-09, and he also visited for the syracuse game.
Jawanza Starling- visited stanford on the 9th, have heard he is taking all five officials and is visiting us next week on other blog sites. we have recruited him consistently and hopefully it will pay off.
Micheal Buchanan- Ill. DE, 6'6 220pd frame with alot of room to grow, offered a few days ago, mutual interest with ND. dont know much about the kid, glad to see another DL offer though.
IMO sign one or two, definate top 15, somehow go and sign 3, top ten class. Sorry if i forgot anyone, feel free to add them. Should be the most interesting NSD i have experienced in my 3 years of actually following it. Minus 06, that NSD pissed me off, but i guess it was interesting. Damn those lying littles..... any thoughts or news on these guys, let me know. i like hearing feedback.
