Really, how long in advance do you think teams scedule one another?? Didn't k. state beat texas this year.

we both know that there is no way to find out when this game was scheduled... but how are you so sure that KState wasn't the initiator of the game, seeking out another patsy to play (as their schedules perennially consisted of cupcakes)? Didn't KState lose by 27 points to Rutgers this year? They were 7-6, and I won't ever say that a 7-6 team is quality.

i think the long layoff is getting to some people around here. Let's just agree that ND needs a big bowl win to get the monkey off its back, that we have a bright future ahead of us at ND football wise in a couple years, and that IrishCPA has better avatars than I do.

Still loving the Jessica Alba one, although that Stacy Kiebler one is pretty damn hot too.

I can't call beating a 5 loss GT team a signature win under any circumstances. That said, 5-0 in bowl games is impressive.

Funny thing, West Va's narrow victory last year over GA (it didn't look like either team put the smack down in that game) is the reason why the Big East teams are ranked so highly this year. Had WVU lost to GA last year, the whole conference would have paid the price in preseason rankings this year. But because WVU got that big win in last years bowl game, it added crdibility to them, Louioville, and Rutgers despite not a single one fo those teams playing a quality OOC opponent this year.

Even as Big east, you've got to admit that WVU, Rutgers, and Lousiville scheduled down this year OOC.

Yeah, I agree, GA Tech won't even be ranked at in the final poll. Our only significant win can be a victory over LSU. If not, we'll have to settle for the Penn St. thrashing b/c they should be ranked after upsetting the Vols to finish 9-4.
