Alrighty, heres what I want you to do.....

1. Take a DEEEEEEEP Breathe.
2. Keep going.
3. Exhale slowly.
4. Realize what talent we got on this years recruiting class.

This is the best Offensive recruiting class that ND has every had. Sure the Defensive recruiting didnt show up. But what do you expect? The D recruits saw ND get manhandled on the Defensive side of the ball in the Sugar bowl. Most of them werent to happy to see a new D coordinator (thank god minter is gone), since he hasnt even coached yet for ND.

But look at last years recruiting. Pretty damn good. Our secondary is going to be good. With us going to 3-4 I think our LB corp will shock a lot of you. Of course the D-line is our biggest concern. A lot of you look at STARS in a recruit. But Ian Williams will be a huge get for us. Im telling you right now that he will shock everybody.

Dont let some backstabber get you down. Its one kid who made a gutsy decision, who probably wont play untill his junior/senior year. Good luck to (him) at UF. Hes going to need it. He wont be able to push those SEC Olines around like what he did to HS players.

Also, heres my thought on Weis's recruiting. Last year he got a great secondary class. With TE's, RB, and an Oline. He wanted to set the foundation for this years class. Him and his staff probably saw all the Offensive talent for the '07 class last year. So he went after the big boys on Offense. (Clausen,Allen,Hughes,Little,Tate,Ragone). That is one hell of a Offense recruitment. I think that the '08 class is where we pull the Top D players.

By 09-12 we will be in the top 10 all year. Have faith and have patience. Im 18 years old, I know what its like to want to go to a warm and popular place to play football. But I would choose ND over any school, but thats only because I m a die-hard ND fan.

Well said, and the defensive recruiting is not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be!

We get upset because we loose some guys with high stars. These stars are based on highschool level of play. but look at reggie bush and brady quinn. Both 4 stars. They are doing pretty damn good right now. Look at AJ hawk, a 3 star recruit. Hes playing on sundays now. The stars are overrated.

Agreed. It's hard to tell really how good someone is going to be when they're just in high school. Sure, there are those 5 star guys and 4 star guys that have proven themselves to be something, but there are some that just don't amount to anything. Here's to a couple ND recruits surprising us in a good way!

That sophmore lb at OSU was a 2 star and has already made an impact. works both ways i guess. I think we will have plenty of surprises w/ guys already in the fold. I agree, next year's class will be D heavy.
