With all respect for the man who is Charlie, I would want him no where near my college football team. I think the Pats offense was better without him too. I think his recruiting classes were overhyped as well particularly on defense. His reluctance to just run the football was the worst crime of all though. We will not be elite till we return to smash mouth ND football.

Hey I love the guy to and always took his back no matter what people say. But I stand behind my university and the W-L record shows he was the worst ever in ND history in a 5 year span. BRING ON KELLY!

It does ND no service to fire Charlie Weis. It only adds to the look of instabillity created by the hire fire hire road we seem to be stuck on. Charlie put guys on the field who go up and get the ball and come down running. Receivers today look for a flag before they look for the ball. These guys are good. Defence would come around. One thing at a time. Nothing good will come of this.

He had five years. In football that's an eternity. Hire, fire, hire, fire is bad for a program. But if you honestly think there's logic in sticking by a guy who led the team--with good players--to two straight 6-6 seasons than you're pretty foolish. He has his chances and it didn't work out. It's not like he got the hook two or three years in.

The Navy game sealed his coffin for me. That game was simply atrocious. I kinda feel this was year 3 under HIS plan with HIS athletes. I would have given him at least one more year, but my guess is that the Navy game caused much outrage. It did for me. Defense in the Stanford game was simply an embarrassment to college football.

Maybe that's why I am sitting here typing and JS is the AD. And Obama is president. And Mrs. Takasaki is head of the local P.T.A.

Syracuse last year, North Carolina, Navy twice, I think the writing was on the wall. I truly did not know which way the brass at ND were going to go with CW. I felt it was heavy towards the end but.... In retrospect, I look back and the two BCS bowls we went to was with Ty's recruits. These last three years have been predominately CWs and he is gone.

I have no idea who will be the next HC of ND but rest assured, they have their work cut out for them. Not only the spotlight but, high expectations from a lot of different varieties of fans. ( and a lot of work to do in keeping players and getting solid recruits in)

I really feel anxious about next year but, the anxious is how well the guy coming in is going to do with CW's recruits and is everyone going to have the patience of the first two years with this coach and the team taking on yet another new system.
