Big Congrats to the boys!!! (AND THANKS!)

Long time reader of the boards, but I dont post much. Mainly, I come here for info and of course to help boost my morale (and sometimes commiserate with fellow Irish fans)...

But I felt the need to come and personally THANK all of the players who have played their heart out this season, despite all the animosity.

The win @ SC last night really did it for this fan. As a Northern Kentucky native, I dont have many Irish fans to root with, so I go it alone. The win last night brought tears to my eyes, and I was able to go out and celebrate after the game. Had a few people who normally give me crap about being a ND fan actually say things like, "Youre boys did it."

The team chemistry is there. The past 3 weeks, I have witnessed the heart demonstrated on the field. As BK said, you have "brought back the fight in Fightin' Irish!"

If any of the players actually read this, THANK YOU! You deserve the joy that comes with the hard work, and BEST WISHES in your Bowl Game. We'll all be watching and fighting with you!

It was a perfect end to my 30th b-day party!!! The fellas helped make my day, watching that last drive is one of my all-time favorite sports moments, I was surrounded by family and friends, (a bunch of who love the Irish, but none are quite as crazy as me.) drinking a Guinness. Watching Robert Hughes pound those bastards made me SOOOOO Happy, the Irish nation needed that one big time. AWESOME!!!!

My hand was raised in disbelief-I can not lie. After pulling for this team as a subway alum for 50 years this was one of the best for me. It may well be a program changing moment. I have said all along Kelly is a good coach, my question was the players and are they simply good enough to compete at higher level competition. They showed me even a die hard fan can be wrong. NICE.
