Bad news...

My dad's best friend and former college roommate (and the father to my 3 very best friends) passed away last Saturday.

And all growing up he made me promise EVERY TIME I saw him that I would be the best U of M fan I could be (he's a HUGE U of M fan).

Now that he's gone I have to make good on that promise. It's what he would've wanted.

I suddenly feel as if I'm not welcome on this board anymore with my newfound U of M love-ness.

Aww thanks guys (minus NDOM for his shitty-ness LOL). We just got back up north today from the funeral. I've heard more anti-MSU and anti-ND jokes in the past 2 days than I will for the rest of my life, I'm sure

In fact, at the end of the funeral as people were to file past the casket and pay their last respects, they played the U of M fight song. And Kevin was in his U of M gear in the casket (hat and polo shirt).

I'm going to miss him. He was my second father

Funny you should mention. We were covering the years 1956-1960 today in my History class and I actually had to teach the Professor on Buddy Holly. *shakes head* For shame!
