I think if there is an honest critique, then it's ok....but for someone to say "That 16 yr old kid is NOT Kentucky material" (well, maybe this year) after he was offered, is absurd.

1) Remember...THEY ARE JUST KIDS!!!!!
2) It's tacky to critique someone like that...especially as an ND fan, I hope we handle things in a slightly more CHRISTIAN way!
3) You could push not only the kid you critique, but possibly others away too, because they don't want to be treated the same way.
4) Some of these kids are lumps of clay with extraordinary potential...they are still learning the game and hope to learn it from the best coach possible, which is why they choose the school in the first place. (Think how many times in the recruiting thread you see someone say "they are rated as a 3 star, but have 5 star potential")
5) and finally....THEY ARE JUST KIDS!!!!! Give them a freaking break!

That's why we try to keep things as professional here as possible, but the same things tend to happen. I can't tell you how many times I saw people questioning why Martavious Odams was offered. I think it's ok to have an opinion about a kids play, or even his character if he shows considerable issues there, but we need to go about it in a fair way and not come off like we're trashing the kid but rather discussing the pros and cons of their abilities.
