He has scheduled a visit for the USC game on October 15th. Has set visits with Nebraska on Sept. 2 and Ole Miss on Nov. 18.

I'm pretty sure he has an offer, but they can only list so many.

I think he's a bit of a long shot anyway.

Just a thought here....is linebacker much of a concern for this upcoming recruiting class? The offense seems set at the skill spots. OL and DB are urgent. Who is at linebacker down the road?

I'd consider LB urgent. We haven't recruited any stud LB's in awhile. Hoyte and Mays are gone after this year.

Last year we only recruited Quinn, who wasn't highly touted but was committed to Penn state which is enough for me to say he has potential. We also recruited Washington, but he may project as a safety in college.

The class before that we only recruited two, Banda who was a 2star, and Crum. Crum has some potential, but again he needed to gain some weight, not sure if he has the weight put on yet.

After that all we have is guys like, Nick Borseti, Joe Brockington, Dwight Stephenson(Think he has switched to end)

I really don't see a great deal of talent there, I think it's crucial we bring in some LB talent this year. Hoyte and Mays will be solid, however expect a huge drop off next year. Vernaglia, or Ndukwe will be playing the apache role I believe.

Don't be surprised if Schwapp is our middle linebacker down the road, or McConnell.

At least we have a couple of guys at corner with potential, Lambert, Jabbie(who knows now) and ferrine.

Ty left this team so thin its not even funny, Stanford fans were saying the same thing when he left.

Just realized we recruited Scott Smith as well last year, he has alot of potential...

I think Smith is gonna be a solid middle linebacker, and could easily be starting in '06. Washington could go either way, but I think Weis prefers him at linebacker. I think Ndukwe is better served as a safety, and Crum would be better off at linebacker, but we'll see.

Hate to bring up last years recruiting but Cushing was crazy not to consider the irish. He said his main concern was early playing time, well he certainly had a better chance at ND then USc for early playing time.

Anthony Lewis has ND in his top four with OU, Oklahoma State and Texas A & M. Good sign, considering he didn't want to come to ND because of the weather. Once he got in touch with Weis, his mood changed.

Imagine that.
