the article itself doesn't make the situation to be as bad as the title leads to believe. the recruit was going to call tomorrow to accept. earlier this week he received a call that they no longer had OL spots available. that's not so different from any other school who has limited spots at certain positions.
the article doesn't point to any inappropriate conduct unless they agreed to save a spot for him. The article says he asked them to save a spot back when he visited, but there's no evidence they agreed to do so.
If they did agree and he told them when he was going to verbal, then it's a bit shady.
Moral(s) of the story, don't wait or don't be fooled thinking Liar Liar tells the truth.

who knows? This whole recruiting thing is a circus. If you commit early you run the risk of being tarred and feathered for changing your mind. If you don't commit early you run the risk of what happened to this kid.
I do think that there was probably some "winks" from Urban and this kid got burnt.
