It may not so much a complete reflection of the ND season but there are some ND related things in here so I thought it fit here. 2010 wasnt the greatest year for me personally and sports wise. The first championship game I cared about my number 2 college team texas lost to Bama, then my colts lost in the super bowl, followed by USA hockey losing the gold medal to canada, and the celtics losing the NBA championship. Every team I'd liked had gotten to the championship and lost. Personally Ive lost 3 people in the span of 5 months earlier in the year. My great-uncle, great-grandmother, and my uncle all passed away and personally I felt down. At the begining of the football season and towards the middle when ND was at our lowest I remember saying after the Navy game "not even a football season which is meaningless in the long run of my life can even go somewhat my way". However the ND team was able to overcome in the month of November and give me something to be excited about to take away the stress and problems that people have in life. Unlike earlier in the season where they added some more frustrations the past few months theyve helped and I found it fitting that on the final day of what Ive considered to be the worst year of my young life I got to see Notre Dame win a semi-meaningful bowl (What I consider to be the second most prestigous pre-new years bowl other than the holiday bowl) Despite the fact that I did nothing to help ND pother than watch games and get happy or pissed on a messege board I liked how in a small way I could say something positive and memorable happened in 2010.
