4 Days Off !...

Charlie's giving the boys 4 days off this weekend for the bye week. Interestingly enough, many of the assistants will be out watching high-school football games and recruiting, but in the meantime, the players will be off visiting their families and friends. This was brought up on Power Hour and Im interested to see what others think on the matter. Should we be practicing more this week, or will the time off be beneficial ?

Give them the time off, so the staff can get recruits...makes sense to me.

That's fine with me considering the experience level of our starting lineups Plus zibby, thomas and company are banged up. I would question it a bit next year but I'm sure he'll do the same thing.

Eh, he knows more about coaching than me, so I'm fine with it.

Now, if they lose to UCLA I'm sure I'll be throwing him under the bus for it along w/ everyone else

Did you ever play a major (even minor) sport? Ever bust your hump every day for weeks on end? Lemmee tell ya, the guys need a rest. Last thing we need is for the team to go "stale" before USC. I am not a fan of the 12 game sked. With studies and the other stresses of College, 12 games is too many. This is a major reason why we ( and everybody else) need to develop depth. Busting the team's hump this week would be unproductive in the long run.
