You need Parks and Folorunsho. I'd take 3 DT's this cycle.
I don't think you "need" both in the transfer portal era where you're going to be abke to backfill your roster every yeat at a place like Notre Dame. That said, if ND takes 3 DT / NGs in this cycle you're certainly not going to hear me complain. If you can get 3 quality kids with high upside, you definitely take them.

In 2026 your 4-deep is likely...

Brewu-Onye
Hughes-Gray
Burgess-Mukam
Mullins-Dixon

In 2027 your 4-deep is likely....

Brewu-Gray
Burgess-Mukam OR Portal Addition
Golden-Dixon OR Portal Addition
Freshman-Hola

In the Portal era you can really only succession plan 2'ish years ahead, so ND is pretty set (even with normal transfer attrition) for the foreseeable future. The ability to augment through the Portal for plug-n-play additions is also enormous.

St Pats played Notre Dame College Prep (my boys school) in IHSA Basketball playoffs tonight...huge rivalry between the 2 schools, being the 2 largest all boys schools in IL. just like ND vs Duke, ND failed miserably vs St Pats with a 57-26 loss...

I know you guys are obsessed with this dude, and Granger inspired me with the stalking...here he is in the St Patrick student section20260225_184439.jpg20260225_190239.jpg

We have not had much success with Chicago kids having anywhere close to a predisposition to ND. Justin Scott potentially all over again. Will ND get into a bidding war this time?

ND is willing to battle financially for guys they want, but not to the point that it compromises their entire depth chart and program depth. Like it or not, ND is always going to run their program in a fiscally prudent fashion, so unlike a program like Texas Tech where a single billionaire is personnally writing "blank checks" to attract players that would not have gone to Lubbock in previous years, ND is going to continue to focus on depth of talent on the roster, even if it means not landing as many high 4 star and 5 star recruits expecting a massive payday as some may want.

ND Thoroughly believes that a focus on roster retention among the players they want to keep to build depth, is every bit as important as attracting a few more top flight talents each year. They'd rather field squads of a fully developed juniors and seniors with high upsides, then highly paid freshmen and sophomores with no depth behind them because of how much they were paid.

Such is life as a team with carefully adhered to budget.
