To me, he has a role like Tuitt. 3-4 5 tech de and slides inside on even man fronts. Would absolutely take him, but odd fit. Would absolutely still take him!
assuming we get sessay, first world problems I dont know where a 5 star de would fit

In a 4-3 or 4-2 base defense, Fakatou is absolutely more of an inside guy. I agree that he is similar to Tuitt, but that was in a 3-4 defense. Tuitt would probably be inside on this year's team.

Kinda get what your saying but Tuitt was in a different scheme, he's a twitchier athlete than Tuitt. Fakatou is the kind of guy you take regardless and figure it out.

Oh yea. Diaco with Tuitt was an odd front (remember cat and dog backers?). I am just saying positionally they are similar. You absolutely take him and figure it out.

Exactly, but I think he has the versatility in the odd or even front which is always a bonus. I'm always a proponent of taking the high level guys and just figuring it out, as opposed to just some who think you take another guy who will stick around but never see the field or contribute past STs. He could legit be an AA level player at DE or DT.

Very curious if we implement some more odd front packages. Definitely have the bodies to do so

Doesn't Fong change his predictions pretty often? I don't put much stock in this one.
He didn't use to change them often. He was pretty notorious for keeping his prediction the same, but there was a fair amount of flipping his prediction in the days leading up to the announcement as he got concrete information.

I don't know if things have changed.

Him going to Ohio State makes zero sense considering it was stated he dropped USC because of the guys they already had at his position. Ohio State has Jacobs at DE and Wyatt Smith coming in at DE.

ND already has Aidan O'Neil and Jackson Vaughn at Fakatou's desired position. And by the time of his official visit, Sesay might already be on board too.

Marcus Fakatou is a 5-star defensive lineman in the 2027 recruiting class, ranked as the #2 DL in the country. The current prediction from top recruiting analysts at Rivals, including Steve Wiltfong, Adam Gorney, and Greg Biggins, is that he is trending toward Ohio State. Yahoo Sports

Fakatou himself confirmed to Rivals' Greg Biggins that Ohio State is the top team on his list. However, it's still a very active recruitment — he also has official visits scheduled with the Texas Longhorns, Oregon Ducks, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Athlon Sports

Notre Dame is considered the #2 school in his recruitment at this stage, with Georgia, Texas, and Oregon rounding out his top five.
