Come on, fellas. I know I don't have 1000 posts on here, but let's stop with the doom and gloom. Yeah, we lost. Yeah, that 4th down option call was a WTF moment. But we can't mail it in, yet.

The Irish aren't going to give up on us....and we can't give up on them.

Notre Dame.

It's a lot like having kids. No matter how mad you might be at them, and no matter how much they frustrate you to no end...at the end of the day you still love them.

I was shocked reading through board after board about how much better the defense and team will be this year because of the new coaching change. Do people actually believe that it doesn't take time to implement a new system with many inexperienced players and produce results without the pains.

All these things we are seeing on both sides of the ball seems predictable to me from when Kelly got hired. He may be a great coach but he cannot escape the time factor. The offense has athletic ability but zero experience facing game hardship together under Crist's leadership. Is it shocking to see the inexperienced guys choke in these first games on plays we all know they are capable of making. Theo had his "click" game and will reap huge benefits going forward with his confidence and Dayne is feeling more and more comfortable and confident. I always believed we needed a full season to even talk about bcs and 12-0. Unfortunately time is controlled by no one and the team will take the needed time to gel in the new system.

Kelly kinda disappoints me in his pressers after the loss. He looks out of place like he is saying "I can't lose I'm Brian Kelly..wtf just happened." You can clearly see he is uncomfortable in that position lol. Why do I say that? Well let me point out something that I found to be odd. He is known to be a great motivator and full of positive energy.

I felt depressed just watching his presser and his face. Like a deer in headlights and then seemed a bit irritated with the last FG/TD question. Wouldn't you have felt better in these losses if he just shrugged it off like it is an integral part of his winning process? Pointing out that "yeah we lost but these are the important things we benefit by this learning experience as a team. As I said before its just a matter of time. We have to focus on the positive things we take away from these games."

I'm still on track and supportive of the kids and the team/coaches. Every game I see good improvements and by the time we get to SC it should be very interesting to see how much experience helps this talented group.

i'm not one of the doom and gloom guys and i didn't see the presser, but i'm sure bk's depressing look comes from the fact that he knows deep down inside that he's got players he's trying to hide and has to go through some growing pains til he can get his recruits in here.

unlike ty and cw (did in their first season), bk's going to struggle cuz he just doesn't have the depth and talent on the defensive side of the ball like ty and cw did.
