Congratulations Jacob Allen, you just got your first CB!

Plays LT next to some LG named Olmstud or Olmstead or something like that.

Freebie story from Dohn/247:

https://247sports.com/Article/2021-OT-Jacob-Allen-exclusive-game-cut-ups-121533860/

Notre Dame offensive lineman commit John Olmstead is the headliner at Metuchen (N.J.) St. Joseph, but there is a budding class of 2021 offensive tackle whom should garner a ton of attention in the next two years.

Jacob Allen, a 6-foot-6, 265-pound offensive tackle in the class of 2021, visited Rutgers for the season opener against Texas State and is still looking for his first offer, but they will come.

I was able to watch Allen play in the season opener last weekend (cut-ups are above), and his combination of athleticism, length and his ability to bend at the knees caught my attention.

Allen is young and he needs to continue to develop his technique and get stronger, but that will happen. He is tough, plays hard and he has good body control.

Against North Brunswick, he showed his ability to pull and he was physical. He fired off the ball well and he stayed low. When he sank his hips and exploded up in the running game, he was impressive. He needs to remain engaged on the block a bit longer, but that comes with more experience, added strength and with refining his technique.

Allen is quick to get his hands inside, and he drives his legs. When he pulled on one play, he made it through the hole and was able to target the safety for the block, and the speed at which he did it and the body control he displayed was impressive for a kid his size and age.

Played at St Joseseph Regional with Olmstead, trasnferred to Hun School and reclassified to 2022.

CB'd him to ND on 9-8-18 and will stick with it.

Was just named a solid 4* by both services.

CB officially taken off the board. It was a good 2 1/2 year run though. Would've been a monster pay out for a futures bet. Out before the hammer falls.

Everyone says he's going to Rutgers.

Rivals has him at #97 overall and 247 is at #137 OA

Is Schiano adopting the OSU compensation structure now? Sans strippers, I'd hope.
