Ephesians 6:12

12 This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

On the recruiting front, Prysock cut his list down to Arizona State, Colorado, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, UCLA and USC. Since cutting his list, he has added offers from Cal and Tennessee and said he’s giving both schools a look.

“I like Cal, it’s a good academic fit for sure,” Prysock said. “They just offered a week ago and I’m going to look in to them for sure and hopefully can get out there for a visit.”

“I like Tennessee a lot too. They offered after I dropped my top 10 but they’re in it for sure and they have been recruiting me hard so we’ll see what happens there.”

Among his top 10, Prysock said the schools he feels he’s connecting the best with right now are USC, Oregon, Arizona State and Ohio State. He broke down what stands out about each program:

USC- "I really like USC and how they’re recruiting me. They’re recruiting me hard and I have a great relationship with Donte (Williams). I like Donte a lot and I like his coaching style and how we talk. USC is the only school I’ve been to and I always feel really comfortable there. We’ve had some former players from Alemany that are going there and Jaylin (Smith) talks to me about USC and how fun it would be to team up again.”

Oregon- "I talk with Oregon all the time, that was a big offer for me. I really like coach Chance a lot, the DB coach. I’m comfortable with him and feel he’s a very good coach who does a nice job developing his guys. I’ve talked with coach Cristobal as well and they’re definitely recruiting me hard. I don’t have a visit date set up yet but that’s one of the first schools I plan to trip to as soon as we can get back on the road.”

Arizona State- "I like ASU a lot and have developed a good relationship with Chris Hawkins (DB coach). That’s my guy and he’s been on me for awhile now and he’s a good coach and someone I feel like I can relate easily with. I’ve never been out to ASU before but I definitely plan to soon here. It’s close to home and I like the direction the program is going in. I like the opportunity to get in there and compete for playing time early and I think it's a good all around fit."

Ohio State- "Ohio State is a great program and a national power. That was a huge offer for me and I have a lot of interest in them. Coach Coombs (DB coach) is my lead recruiter and he’s a great guy and a great coach. Ohio State does a great job of developing guys and getting them to the League (NFL) and that’s obviously a big goal for me so I’m for sure giving them a hard look.”

Prysock said the plan is to take his visits in the spring and he could make an early decision.

“I would like to take as many of my visits in the spring and then commit later in the summer,” Prysock said. “I haven’t set up any of my trips yet but I want to visit USC for sure.

“If I can get all my trips in, it would be great to lock in my decision in the summer so I don’t have to worry about recruiting my senior year. That way I can just focus on school and football and not have that as a distraction.”
