247 is supposed to have an article up today and sounds like he really likes ND.

I said this about Lewis over at ISD, "I have to say that Lewis looks like one of the best pass catchers I've seen from high school film in a while. He's great at using his arms and reaching for the ball making the catch solely with his hands. He even does this in heavy traffic which shows that his concentration and hand-eye coordination is great."

He seems to love the academics and has already visited before.

Could be deciding soon and it won’t be ND. Kentucky seems likely.

Hey LL, not disagreeing as I know nothing about this guy, but why so down on ND here?

I think I read that he has visited already, and also spoke highly of ND. Just curious why you think UK is favorite here. Seems he was interested in some of the "SEC bigs", and normally I'd expect him to wait a little for their offers instead of jumping on board with KY. Does he have some type of connection to UK?

UK 247 buzz that they could be the choice here and soon. ND isn’t ‘pushing’ for him at the moment.

Thanks LL. Seems a bit strange to me given UK's top 3 commits for 2021 are WR.
If ND is not pushing, or not accepting, I guess his options are limited. If I were him I think I'd go to UT or TAMU over UK though.

Mark Stoops has done a great job of turning around the UK football program. 18 wins the past two seasons, including 10 in 2018. They aren’t a sexy name like the Volunteers or the Aggies, but UK is no longer the bottom dwelling SEC team they once were.

Lewis has 38 offers. Of course, not all of the were committable offers, but he has plenty of options. PAC12, BigTen, ACC, SEC.... almost all the big fishes in big pond.

2019 was a bit of a disappointment though after a darn good 2018. Went from 5-3 to 3-5 in the SEC.

I agree though that Stoops has improved things.

I don't get the concept of a non acceptable offer. It seems.... illusory. In bad faith.

That's odd because Christian at ISD literally just posted an article and Lewis said his target commit date is his September 28th birthday, and it sounds like he wants to be able to take his visits.

If he committed to Kentucky anytime soon, I would think it would be to just grab a spot.

Here it is.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I really don't get why we aren't pushing here. What does Del do all day? It's good that we're pushing for Colzie/Thornton, but both are much more likely to end up elsewhere. Styles is still committed but it would be naive to think that couldn't change, plus DB is still on the table for him.

We're in play for Jayden Thomas but it doesn't really seem like we're going balls to the wall on that recruitment, unless I missed something. Don't even think we're recruiting Anthony on offense. Unless/until we expand the board, at this point it seems more likely that we'll end up with zero WR commits than more than one.

Not like Del is taking a head start on '22 WR recruiting either. Kaleb Brown/Tyler Morris could use a call...
