Using pff's Draft Simulator, which allows trades, I picked for Chicago for seven rounds. Their primary needs are QB, OT, IOL, WR with secondary needs WR (2nd), IDL, CB, EDGE per Draft Network.

The Bears have eight picks 20 (1st rd), 52 (2nd), 83 (3rd), no 4th rd, 161 (5th), and two sixth rders - 200, 216, and two 7th rders - 222, 227.

- Jumping ahead of the Patriots, I traded 20 & 227 for #14 and picked Mac Jones, QB.
- Pick #52 - Liam Eichenberg, a natural LOT. Three ND O-Liners would look nice.
- I traded 83 with a 6th rounder (200) to move up for Pick #71 and chose Jalen Mayfield, OT, Mich, who played RT there. Some reports say he could also play OG.
- Pick 161 brought Dazz Newsome, WR, NC
- Pick 216 brought Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF
- Pick 222 brought Michael Menet, C, PSU. A true center but could play guard

The Bears' Free Agents include Trubisky, Allen Robinson, WR, Germaine Ifedi, RT and Alex Bars, RG - and Tashaun Gipson, S. Ifedi is a Guard but pressed into the RT role this year. Charles Leno, LT and Sam Mustipher are FAs next year. Leno's is a voidable year.

In retrospect, 216 may have been used on a different pick, but there did not seem value in S or WR.

The Bears need to clear $10 mill in cap space. Cutting or trading Akeem Hicks, DE, who is in the last year of his contract, would do that with minimal impact on Dead Money. With cap space tight, they will have to rely on the draft. Nick Foles, QB has two more years left on his contract, so Mac Jones can sit and learn.

The Bears' Free Agents include Trubisky, Allen Robinson, WR, both OGs - Ifedi and Alex Bars - and Tashaun Gipson, S. Charles Leno, LT and Sam Mustipher are FAs next year. In retrospect, 216 may have been used on a different pick, but there did not seem value in S or WR.

Does it just force the trades? Cause that would never happen.

No. You can pause the simulator, choose Make a trade, and use the dropdown to pick a team to trade with. You pick out which team, choose what you want from them and what you would give in return. Either "Trade accepted" or "trade refused". You have five or six opportunities for trades each time.

What is missing is that the players left available at that draft position are not listed. As far as above, I had to pause, review the past picks to see what QBs were available. Then offer a trade or resume.
