2010 Recruiting Needs

Who should be are Teo of 2010? Not counting our current commits I would love to get Anthony Barr and/or Seantrel Henderson!!! We need to recruit DB's and DL hard this year too...Corwin needs to earn his keep in recruiting and get a couple 5 star DB/S next year!

We also need to add depth at QB/TE/OL but I do not see getting a highly ranked QB recruit next year that will sit the bench for 3 year behind Crist. Montana would be a nice pick-up here. 2011 we get the best QB in the country after Floyd wins the Heisman and we win the National Chamionship.

And it's well documented the Irish are recruiting Jake Heaps hard. He's a 4/5 star top pro-style QB in this draft.

Took the words out of my mouth. I'm LOVE Anthony Barr. Saw him play as well, and he could LB or RB! Take is an alum, but unfortunately he's a deadbeat, so that might end up hurting us. Hopefully Polian can pull another kid from USC's grasp.

NDOM, absolutely agree with getting defense, but let's not forget about the O-Line! We need to get Henderson in a big way...

Hopefully joe just pays for his son to walk on....and im thinking we should take a very well balanced class, focusing primarily on lines on both sides of the ball. CB is an area of need, as well as great DEs, one of which we already landed in Martin. i would like to take 5 GOOD Defensive linemen. OT is also going to be an area of focus.

personally think Barr and Henderson are must gets, as well and Chance Carter from Ill.

Recently heard that the class could take almost 30 players next year with 5 being EEs, since the last 3 recruiting cycles have been very low in terms of #s. 07=19 players, 08=23players, and now 09=18 players. Cant we have 88 players on scholarship?

Alright, what we really need is another long snapper and a back-up punter. Also, who will replace Mike Anello? We really need to get a special team's gunner. Those are absolutely must-haves for 2010. Offensive / Defensive line, DB's and a QB are secondary needs.

Agreed. Prater is the most impressive WR I've seen film on...Kid is a mismatch wherever he lines up....Anyways, I think our need or on both of the lines...Getting Henderson would be huge...Guarenteed 3 year starter imo...Same for Chance Carter...It will be a battle to get them...IMO we'll land them if play like we're capable of this year...9-10 wins should do it...We also need CB's and S baddddddddd...A top flight QB wouldn't hurt either...This class is going to be the best we've landed if we take care of business on the field of play!!

this years teo as in the amount of time spent by weiss to get him id go with either seantrell henderson or jake heaps. Of course Martin and Barr are gonna need atention and we need to make sure we get them but they dont take the time that teo took to come here since one already commited and the other is bound to. I also really really want justin McCay coming to us. imo he is the best receiver of the entire class.

Kyle Prater's uncle is Carlyle Holiday. I think he's an uncle, it might be a cousin, but nonetheless it is a nice connection to have.

Also, in response to needing a gunner, I think we might have it in Roby Toma. I watched his film and not only is he fast, but he is not afraid of contact. It is sad to do this when this recruiting class isn't even on campus yet (minus Motta, Stockton, and Banks), but I wish tomorrow was signing day for 2010. It appears we have the ability to do quite a bit of damage next year, especially in California which means taking more players from the kingdom of Troy. Now if only our recruiting victories could translate into victories on the field. Go Irish!
