I think Charlie should definetly keep his eyes open for a new o-line coach. Latina just does not seem to be getting the job done. It would be easy to get a good coach at N.D. especially with the recruiting classes we've had in the past few years. Timugen is right, if it were an experience issue, it would have already been improved much more than what it has unless the recruits that are playing, are not near as good as they were thought to be coming out of high school. Proof says that Latina has been a very good 0-line coach in the past. But there are just some times in any profession when a person is not the right fit for that particular company or program. This may be the case with Latina.

Actually, your numbers are wrong due to redshirting.

Georgia is actually:
2 FR
1 SO
2 5th

I think you will find the same thing with the other teams. When ND says Frosh, they always mean Frosh. When Other schools use the terms they count a RS-FR as a Freshman.

Georgia STILL has 2 Frosh on the line...but they are also playing 2 5th years.

They have 5 guys above Soph level...not bad, we have 3.

Yes I am aware that 1 of Georgia's FR is a RS. It's still his first year game experience. As for the other 2 teams I mentioned the FR are not RS.

And you're still missing the big picture here. The teams I mentioned aren't the most extreme examples. I just looked at about a half-dozen teams and these are a few out of that very small sample that most approximate the experience we have on OL......and they're not playing a little bit better than our OL - our OL makes them look like a Pro Bowl team.
