I just saw that we are ranked #4 in the polls and it is our highest ranking since December of 1980. Of course I was curious who was on that team. As it turns out, it is probably my favorite ND Basketball team of all time. Below were some of the better guys from that team.
Orlando Woolridge
Kelly Tripucka
John Paxson
Tracy Jackson
That year they beat two number one teams, Kentucky led by Sam Bowie and Virginia led by Ralph Sampson. Probably my most vivid memory of ND basketball is Orlando Woolridge grabbing the loose ball and burying that fade away at the buzzer to beat Virginia by one. I just watched the youtube clip and it still gives me chills. The last 10 seconds of the game starts at about the 2:30 second mark.

That year I had big expectations for a great run in the tourney. Of course all that was crushed by Danny Ainge going coast to coast.
