So far we have one heck of a signing class. What else can we expect in the next few weeks? Sabino and JBrown are visiting this Thrusday and Friday. Some people expect they both can commit shortly after their visit. Floyd and Balwin? Most say they are very pro-Irish, but haven't made it official. And Trevor Robinson---his father is very pro-Irish, but he is confused between NU, U-M, and ND. Any news on any of these guys? Go Irish!!!

I have a feeling Floyd will be next, but Brown or Sabino could commit this weekend. Thats awesome that you have Calton Thomas Jr. on your list. He is a very under rated player and he will make this class that much better. He is small in size but is very strong and an explosive runner. I understand that we are very strong in the RB position now with A Allen and J Aldridge, but adding another stud will make them work harder for their spot.

Ditto.

The big 3 on my wish list at this point are Floyd, Sabino, and Robinson. Beyond that I'll take whatever I can get, but thats the best layout I can think of. Love the red-zone potential of a Baldwin, any of the RB's would be great, and I really like Jeremy as a corner - gives us a different kind of DB than the one's we've already signed. Plus I think he's got great potential as a KR.

I just felt like pointing out that since the spring game, 8 of our 9 pledges have been on defense. I never would have even fathomed that possibility. I thought we'd have to have a year's worth of 3-4 defensive results to point to a recruit and say, "This is what we're going to do, and you can be the one to spearhead that project". Thats all.

I'm going to mix the pot a bit here. Marcus Forston is probably going to Miami (although he really wants to visit ND). Will Hill, Shayne Hale, and T.J. Bryant are pretty much out of the question. I really like Crist as a quarterback---but have we given up hope on the #1 player in the country, Terrelle Pryor? I know people say there is no shot but this kid has us in his top 7. he has come out and said all 7 schools are very equal and doesn't favor one more than the other. he's obviously more of running QB and CW doesn't really favor that, but we did land Demetrius Jones two years ago? So is Pryor a lost cause?

It really doesn't matter who OSU nabs, the future of the ND Defense only spells pain for any rival.

By the way, with 19 down, and only a select few schollies left do you think we'll see a flurry of commitments once someone else pulls the trigger and makes it 20? Or will Charlie hold out some in order to get some of the guys that are holding off on their commitments?

listen up folks we are witnessing the greatest recuirting defenseive haul in ND history in 4 years we will know for sure how special these days were and how hard the staff worked to get us here. So If we were smart we would finish with the best talent and forget about positions and try to increase the greatness that is Notre Dame. The best part about 7 year old kids is they are not done growing and can easily change positions. I hope our final 5 are Talent rich smart players that love ND. Thats all I could ever ask for.

i think they are all going to start pulling the trigger. floyd, brown, sabino, and c thomas, all really like notre dame and everything it stands for. also, CW and CB really want those guys to come. the bus is getting full so we will be hearing from them soon. i wouldnt be surprised if by the middle of the season everything is done.

Everyone really likes Sabino. It it his size speed combination? WR is easily our greatest concern, so I say:

1) Floyd
2) Baldwin
3) Thomas
4) Robinson
5) Sabino

With Sabino i think it is more of how physical of a player he if. Sabino comes from a state where football is very physical and Florida is loaded with talented players that only end up at FSU, UF, and Miami. It's already evident that we are making some noise down in the sunshine state and getting some great talented players from there.

I really would love sabino to come here that would give us one of the best group of linebackers that have come to ND in a long time but from what i hear it will be hard for ND to take him away from the schools in Florida have any of you heard different?

The school that he really likes is North Carolina. He was quoted saying--- "I really liked it," he said. "I went there during the spring and just loved it. It's a great place and the environment is nice. I felt very comfortable there."---but he also says that ----Notre Dame is recruiting him the hardest. "I keep in contact with them a lot," he said. "I love the tradition and they are changing their defense and I think I'd have a good opportunity to play----

Sabino has Notre Dame in his top 3 and I think we should be able to really convince him this week when he comes to visit. I wouldn't be surprised if makes his verbal commitment next week.

so the 3 RB that CW has in mind is Cyrus Gray, Ryan Williams, and Carlton Thomas. CT has expressed that he is very interested, but which would you rather see weating a golden helmet?

I'd like to see C. Thomas in a gold helmet. He brings something to the table that ND doesn't have -- lightning quickness combined with extraordinary vision.

I agree but they say that C Gray is a bit quicker, but for as little as Thomas is, he has great strength. I would love to see Thomas kick returning and weaving in and out of those holes.

if Sabino commits, he will definately put the icing on the cake for the defense in this recruiting class. he arrives this friday, so this should be an exciting weekend.
