Was scheduled to attend Texas this weekend before opting for the ND Spring Game.

Played with both the Mayden brothers and the Duvernay brothers at Sasche High.

Dad was a starting DB at PSU then played in both the NFL & Canada.

“We talked for a while,” Humphries said. “He’s a great dude. I really like the things that he was saying. He talked a lot about how Notre Dame can set you up for life and how a lot of schools are just good at football and after that you can only get a job in the area that really. Like if you go to Florida then you’re set in Florida, but if you go anywhere else in the country, you’re not going to have an advantage over a lot of other people. But he said that if you get a degree from Notre Dame, anywhere in the world, even internationally, people recognize Notre Dame as a prestigious school. Once you have a degree from Notre Dame, you’re pretty much set. He said that if someone is looking through job applications and they see a Notre Dame degree, they are going to get put it in a separate pile. So I really like how he was saying you have an advantage with a degree from Notre Dame. That’s what he talked a lot about and how Notre Dame is a well rounded school.”


"He said that the plan is to come down to my school and look at me in person," Humphries said when asked about what's next with the Irish. "He said he wants to see how I am working out with me team as a leader. He says that they like to see their guys work out before offering, which I understand, because you can watch a lot of highlight film and tape, but seeing how a guy is in his natural normal environment is different than just coming up there and saying all of the right things. They want to see how I operate."

"If Notre Dame offered me today they would be in my top 10," Humphries said. "It was a great visit ... I like everything that comes with going to that school. It's excellent. Academics and athletics. I also felt really welcomed when I came there. I felt like they singled me out. Even though I didn't have an offer from them the coaches still paid attention to me and they still cared. I really like that because some schools you go to, if you don't have an offer they kind of ignore you. When I went to Notre Dame, it felt special."

Doesn't really seem like somebody we're going to flip without a tremendous year and a lot of pressure recruiting him. Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders and was genuinely thankful of the experience here though

Actually he has a lot of ties to Indiana and Chicago. Born in Indy, Spends lots of time in Chicago with family. Dad was from Akron and chose PSU but lived in Indy with the Colts and while he was playing CFL ball, that's when Isaiah was born. Not saying he's gonna flip but it's also not like his entire family was from PA.

School is just up the road, suburban Dallas, has had some decent teams with D1 talent last few years. Like to see coaches recruiting the Lone Star State, tons of talent to be had.

I think he's painted himself into a corner with PSU. When Parsons deco'd, Humphries went after him with if I remember correctly, "If your not with us you're against us" tweet. They then briefly had it out.

He would look foolish if he jumped ship.

He's so far down my list at safety. I'd much rather go after someone bigger and as athletic like local Paul Moala of Penn HS or a long, athletic swing DB like 6-2 Dominique Hampton of AZ.

This would be a surprising flip. He's probably the most vocally gung-ho Penn State recruit on Twitter.

Like Crusader said, he was publicly throwing shade when Parsons decommited.
