Today's convo's got me thinking about who are some guys ND should be on right now hard who would be that guaranteed early commit that you can count on being a solid player. So I picked one and will watch and see what happens.

Elijah Teague was at II last year, he has visited for a game or two. Miami and VT I think. He goes to a solid Chicago Catholic school that produced Nic Weishar. He has a nice offer list so far but I'll bet he has offers from all the B1G's except maybe OSU once camps season is over and next season gets under way. MSU along with Ark & Mizzou are on him right now too.

I don't want to specifically say this is the guy Lax was pointing out we need to get on early and lock up, but he's the kinda guy he was referring to.

I'll ask my buddy who coaches the DL if MHS has reached to him . Proud alum, same school as Weishar

He says he's liking Minnesota and Wisconsin. ND checks in, but has been hearing from a lot more schools and expects offers to start coming in

Gotcha. Our basketball Mgr played at Marist but I'm a decade ahead of you.

I did my "juco" at Miami U and I don't acknowledge the word Redhawk either. Skins for life.

Added 4 more offers. Up to 30 DI offers now which would put #2 on Rank By Offers DT board behind only #1 DT, Taron Vincent of IMG.

I stink at picking out local talent for Plan B action as college coaches around the country think Elijah is Plan A material but as always... The Crusader eye is all seeing.

He doesn't have many tier 1 offers -- PSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Miami.

But for some reason the tier 2 and 3 offers are going wild over him.

Marist is a big school and they play in a conference with good competition like Joliet Catholic, Carmel of Mundelein, Nazareth and Notre Dame. Curious why Northwestern hasn't thrown their hat into the ring.

I mentioned it when Fleck took the Minnesota job. The guy is legit, and sincere, and kids love that about him.

He'll have Minnesota competing in that division very soon. And hopefully he'll be ready to Row the Irish when Kelly's tenure is up.

He took over a 9-4 program in the weakside of the B1G. If he doesn't win the West, he's a failure. To be ND worthy, I think he needs to play in a couple of B1G Championship games and maybe win one.

As far as the next coach... wasted too many brain cells on that in December. I just wanna watch a winner next fall with who's in charge now.

Not this again...give it up, Fleck isn't at Notre Dame and accept it.

What if he rows the boat and he's sinking at the bottom, I need to see more from Fleck.

If he puts together a nice season at Minnesota, good for him, make it pattern and maybe I'd think he'd be a notable coach for ND.
