Plays at my local HS when I'm in AZ. Will see all his home games this fall. Same HS as DJ Foster, Christian Kirk, Byron Murphy so he's in line to be the go to WR this fall. Will probably have over 1500 yds, maybe 2000.

Scout: Four-star safety considering Notre Dame

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro four-star safety K.J. Jarrell details his interest in the Irish and potential visit plans this fall.

One name on Notre Dame’s safety board that hasn’t been mentioned often is four-star K.J. Jarrellof Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro.

Notre Dame offered the No. 31 safety in the Class of 2017 back in April when defensive backs coach Todd Lyght made a visit to Jarrell’s high school.

Jarrell hasn’t made a trip to South Bend yet, but that doesn’t mean he’s not interested.

“Just how solid of a team they put out every year is really the main thing about (Notre Dame),” Jarrell said. “They’re playoff contenders. The coaching staff is great. I don’t talk to coach Lyght all that often but my dad was telling me about he used to be a good player.”

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety is considering Notre Dame for an official visit.

“They gave me camp information for the summer but I wasn’t able to make it,” Jarrell said. “I’m hoping to make it there for an official visit.”

Arizona, Arizona State and Washington State received visits this summer.

Jarrell hasn’t officially trimmed his list, but he did name Arizona State, Nebraska, USC and Washington as programs recruiting him harder than the rest of the pack.

“I don’t have an exact date in mind, but I plan to narrow my list of schools in the near future,” Jarrell said. “I plan on taking all five of my visits and then making a decision from there.”

Arizona State back on 1-25.

This is the type of player ND would have made a much stronger run at with Polian, Long and Alexander all having experience in AZ. I look for ND to be a big factor with AZ's top prospects moving forward. There's a lot of talent here.
