“Last year, as a sophomore, he had 3,000 yards total offense,” Grusler said. “He rushed for 1,200 and threw for 1,800. He has unbelievable speed. He was clocked at Virginia Tech and different places and ran 4.45. As a high school quarterback, he is 6-4, 180 pounds and runs 4.4.

“Notre Dame was definitely an interest of his, very much so,” the coach said.

“He says that he wants to be a businessman in the future and he’s looking at the business schools to see what kind of business programs they have. He’s very interested in making sure that it’s going to meet his educational goals.”
