Zach Auguste plays against the best competition in the country. New England prep schools are all stacked. Auguste's school, New Hampton, regularly has senior classes full of D-1 players. Recent alumni include Rashad McCants from UNC and a 2010 class that had 6 players go D-1 including Brady Heslip from Baylor and Evan Smotrycz from Michigan who are both ballers.
On a side note, they also play Tilton 2+ times a year where Nerlens Noel went this past year (#1 recruit going to Kentucky) and who won the Prep School Championship in 2009 (beating Hargrave Military School) when they had two seniors who ended up going to UCONN. Long story short, any player who excels at a New England prep school is one who will be a stud at ND.
Oh, and Auguste had 22 and 14 in a win against Tilton and Noel.
